MSK Engineering has worked with several towns to design Transfer Station facilities that will better serve the needs of the residents.
In Shaftsbury, Vermont, the public waste facility was located around the downtown offices in dilapidated structures. MSK designed a municipal public works garage and transfer station which enabled the town to consolidate and move these public waste facilities into a better suited and equipped location.
MSK also worked closely with TAM, a Shaftsbury-based regional waste hauler, for the design and permitting of a new 26,000 cubic yard composting facility. After coordinating an initial connection with the Town of Bennington, MSK was able to provide TAM with the design of the facility and assist them with all their permitting needs. This included local site development plan approval, Army Corp of Engineers Wetland Permitting, State Solid Waste permitting and Act 250.
More recently MSK is working with Alva Waste to design a new state of the art facility for them in Springfield, Massachusetts.
